The work put in on the grounds has been nothing less than outstanding and we are lucky to have a well led team that have transformed the ground. We now have well manicured pitches, power and lighting to the equipment store (so that training and match equipment can be put away neatly after use because you will now be able to see!) working and creosoted entrance gates and the signs banning dogs from the ground have been erected. This will be a contentious issue but we were really not left with any alternative as week by week the dog fouling problem was increasing and besides being a health risk to players it was also making other teams question as to whether they wanted to play here or not. They’ve not finished yet and want to put a work party together to get the fences creosoted to match the entrance gate and fencing that they have completed. A date will be agreed soon and if you can come along with a paint brush – the bar will be open.
